What is Chi?
"The life force or vital energy of the universe."
Chi is the term used to describe life force
or universal energy. It is the energy that permeates around us. In fact, this
energy is the very basis of our existence and life. Just as there are two sides
to every picture, Chi is also positive or negative. Positive chi (you’ll want
to have around) is Sheng Chi and the depressing energies (you’ll want to avoid)
are Shar Chi.
The word Sheng Chi translates into ‘cosmic
breath’. It reflects Feng Shui energies that are in harmony. When the energies
around in our surroundings are alive and vibrant and flowing smoothly, they
trigger nourishment and growth.
Everything in the universe, living or non-living,
contain energy in a unique form. All the elements in our surroundings,
therefore, determine the quality of Chi. Outside homes, chi is directly
influenced by nature such as the existence of hills, rivers or mountains.
However, within the confines of home, the quality of chi depends on factors
such as presence of items in a room, their placement or relative arrangement.
It is crucial to ensure that there are no blockages
to hamper the flow of Chi within premises as it is synonymous to encouraging
healthy energies to flow through your body. This makes it all the more important
to review the orientation of furniture.
Position of windows, entrances, doors or
main doors can also potentially influence the quality of chi and just by making
slight changes, you can transform otherwise negative or stale energies into
fresh ones. The idea behind chi is to eliminate any blockages in energy flow as
it encourages the development of gentle and relaxed interiors.
All the items in a home should be conducive
to energy flow. Energy becomes stale or stagnant because of the unfavorable
layouts of rooms or furniture. The aim is to allow chi to flow in a healthy
pattern. If stagnancy can lead chi to lose its positive characteristics, energy
that moves too fast can be equally destructive. The perfect balance of energy
flow has to be accomplished to bring about the desired positive impact.
Since a strong flow of chi at home or
workplace is tantamount to assisting flow of nourishing energy in human body,
use the tips listed below to guarantee accomplishment of all your dreams.

favorable, all your efforts to improve them within home will go to waste.

energies outside your home, now is the time to take matters in your hands for
interiors. Your front door should be your focus. Often referred to as the Mouth
of Chi, your front door absorbs attractive and strong energy for your home to
nourish. Do all you can to attract positive energies through your door.

Last but not the least, make sure there’s
nothing to obstruct the flow of energy. Apply this to all rooms to keep the energies
nourished.
It may take some effort to guarantee flow
of vibrant chi but all your efforts in the direction will be well worth it.
Only by having a smooth chi in your home will you be able to ensure a higher
